The Clinical Methods section offers a synthesis of the clinical processes through which clinicians
obtain the patient's History and carry out the Physical examination.
Most Signs and Symptoms, clinical maneuvers, tests, examination techniques and clinical findings are included.
The extent of discussion varies widely, from a simple definition to an in-depth description.
The emphasis is on the organization, categorization and sequence of every section of the H&P, based on
anatomical order and the "Least-movement rule".
This eH&P™ section is designed to provide a ready reference, it is not a substitute of the many great
Clinical Diagnosis Books. The synopsis of this vast material facilitates access as well as the integration of data
but necessarily results in an oversimplification, for this we apologize.
Exhibit 5. eH&P™ Clinical Methods Contents.
The Clinical Methods Contents features hyperlinks to all the main sections and subsections
of the H&P.
