Cholesterol Management Tool™

An innovative, integrated, interactive resource for comprehensive, systematic and NCEP-compliant Patient-specific Blood Cholesterol Management. This tool represents the main functionality of the application and allows physicians to perform thorough CHD risk assessments including Major risk factors, Framingham scoring and Metabolic Syndrome. It also automates personalization as well as the generation of Patient-specific Therapeutic Recommendations including LDL-lowering therapies, triglyceride, HDL and Metabolic Syndrome. All in one page under the same visual filed.

The application is easy-to-learn and easy-to-use. The tool incorporates two main pages. The input page contains input fields for 22 clinical parameters, Patient data is entered in this page. The output page is the Personal Cholesterol management Plan. It is displayed in a 2nd browser window, and contains 4 sections (Patient Data, Risk assessment, Risk category and Therapeutic recommendations). This output page may be printed-to-chart (prints in one letter-size sheet). Changes to inputs can be readily done. The output page is quickly and automatically re-computed to display the new data and recommendations.
