Normal Cornea: shiny and bright.
Size and curvature (diameter = 11-13 mm).
Abrasions, ulcers, cloudy appearance.
  • Arcus senilis (gerontoxon).
  • Kayser-Fleischer ring.

    Corneal Reflex
    CN V -sensation- and CN VII -motor-.
    When the cornea is stimulated (touch lightly with the twilled wisp of a cotton swab) there is ipsilateral eye blinking (direct) and also contralateral blinking (indirect).
